Overview SDK - Engine API

The Engine API (application programming interfaces) is a component of the eCognition^® Developer 9.5 software development kit (SDK). The Engine API can be used to expand the capabilities of the Trimble Analysis Engine Software by plug-ins. An Engine plug-in is made up of one or more plug-in components. A plug-in component can either implement an algorithm, or a feature. One component cannot implement both at the same time.

Go to the folder SDK, which is installed in the eCognition^® Developer installation directory.

The default path is C:\Program Files\eCognition^® Developer [Version Number]\SDK\Engine\Help\EngineAPI_Help.chm.

The requirements of starting programming with the Engine API are as follows:

A licensed version of eCognition® Developer 9.5
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010
The eCognition Engine Application Programming Interface (Engine-API) headers and .lib files.
